Paternal Leave

In the heart of a harsh winter, 15-year-old Leo (Juli Grabenhenrich) travels to the coast of Northern Italy to find the man who has been absent for years: her father Paolo (Luca Marinelli). What begins as a quiet hope turns into an encounter with old wounds and new longings. Paolo, long rooted in a different life, is shaken by Leo’s sudden arrival. Between silence, anger, and languages that feel foreign, father and daughter cautiously feel their way toward each other.
